From shaping felt over a wooden block to hand-finishing with elegant trims, you will learn the foundations of millinery while creating a hat that is entirely your own.

What You Will Learn  

Throughout the day, you will be introduced to the essential techniques of felt millinery, including:  

• Preparing and working with felt 

• Blocking and shaping over a wooden hat block 

• Using steam to create and refine form * Brim shaping and finishing techniques 

• Applying petersham ribbon with professional hand-stitching 

• Creating your own decorative trim  

With expert guidance at every stage, you will build confidence in working with traditional materials while developing an understanding of proportion, balance, and design.
